Services
Felling:Cutting down and removal of a whole tree.
- Sectional felling:
Removal of whole tree in sections using lowering ropes, often over obstacles such as green houses and sheds. - Thinning:
Removing usually smaller branches throughout the canopy, giving a clearer appearence and allowing more light and wind to penetrate. - Reducing:
Reducing the overall size of the canopy up to 25% is normally recommended. For example, if a tree is too close to a property. Reducing will cause excessive re-growth in most hardwoods. - Planting:
We can supply and plant all types of trees and shrubs at very reasonable rates. - Stump grinding: We have a stump grinding machine that will grind away any stump very precisely with the minimum of ground disturbance.
- Hedge cutting:
We carry out work on all types and sizes of hedges including height reductions. - Reports and surveys:
We can carry out tree reports and surveys for mortgages, extensions, etc. - Free planning applications:
We can put in a planning application to a local authority free of charge. - Fencing:
All types of fencing supplied and erected using quality materials. - Shaping and reshaping:
If a tree has a mishapen canopy we can normally reshape it accordingly. - Pollarding:
This is when most of the tree canopy is removed back to heavy wood and re-grows. This is most suitable for willows, limes and poplars. - Crown cleaning:
The removal of any rubbing, damaged or dead branches. - Crown lifting:
Removal of lower limbs up to a designated height. - Fruit tree pruning:
We specialise in renovating and pruning fruit trees. - Disease diagnosis and control:
We can survey trees for disease and advise on any control methods. - Wood chip mulch:
Rotted down mulch can be supplied and layed if required. It is good for a weed suppresant and also for soil improvement. - Milling:
We have a portable saw mill and can plank any timber you need. - Carving:
We can woodcarve using chainsaws should you require a memento from your trees timber.
We have over 20 years experience in Arboriculture and have been based in Winchester since 1998. We have public and property liability insurance of £5 million. We are a member of The International Society of Arboriculture.
All our staff are professionally qualified and all works are carried out to B.S. 3998 and B.S. 5837 (British standard for tree work). 95% of our green waste is recycled.
